kateParticipantWe have Johnny Rockets down the street, so no need for me to eat there while on the Boat! 🙂

autojimParticipantBut is your local Johnny Rockets staffed with a crew of hard-working Indonesians, Filipinos, Central Americans, and Eastern Europeans who may be slightly confused by the ’50s American Diner schtick?
I’m seriously considering throwing down for a burger and a shake just so I can see that in action. 🙂June 13, 2012 at 4:26 am #86437
drrock422Participant@autojim You and me both. But then again, I also fully intend to pony up the late-night room-service surcharge just so that I get to experience picking up my room phone at 3 o’clock in freaking morning and saying “I need some Phish Food, ASAP,” and hearing the voice on the other end say “That will be about 15 to 30 minutes, Sir.” Yeah… I’m a fat kid like that.

AngelasticParticipantAfter reading @drrock422’s comment and googling the things I didn’t understand, I’m tempted to visit it to see whether I’m as confused as the Filipinos.
Is there really a late-night room-service surcharge on this ship? 🙁

kateParticipant@angelastic Yes, there is a late-night room service surcharge.

ParticipantThat’s a bummer. Pretty much the only time I ever want room service is late at night!
June 14, 2012 at 11:58 pm #86513
thecolintaylorParticipant@n_plus_one I have the same complaint! Whenever I happen to stay in a hotel, I’m always annoyed at how early the kitchen closes. Sometimes I’m even willing to pay out the nose for a hot meal or late-night snack and just can’t make it happen. I say we join @drrock422 for Phish Food.

ParticipantWe could always raid Cafe Promenade & Sorrentos (both are open 24 hours) like a Roving Gang of Late Night Noshers ™ and we wouldn’t even have to wait 20-30 minute for the food! Or we could have late night room service parties since it’s just a flat $3.95 surcharge no matter how much is in one order, plus no one said the food has to stay in the room after delivery… (BTW, hi everyone! I’m just going to pretend I haven’t been stalking the forums in a sulk for the past 2 years after discovering that I wasn’t able to find the money for JCCC1 or the time for JCCC2… but third time’s the charm and I’ve put down the $ and requested the time off for JCCC3!)

drrock422ParticipantLate-night game&grub ™ sounds like the perfect way to wittle away the wee hours of the morning. Yay insomnia! EAT/PLAY ALL THE THINGS!!!

AngelasticParticipantI remember sending @Ice_Mage to his room to play Rock Band while waiting for room service to bring to the game room at 4a.m. on JCCC1. 🙂

Scoti_GarbidisParticipantRock Band and late night grub sounds awesome to me!

kateParticipantWelcome @Chaosdreamer!

AdifferentMollyParticipantThe tap water on the ship has salt in it. I bloat up. I started bringing a case of water onto the ship so I can avoid the tap water. Now I can’t? They have changed their policies and I am not liking it. Not sure yet what I am going to do, how I am going to deal with this. I have to say I am at a lost. I have been on Royal Caribbean in the past with no issues.
