AngelasticParticipantHmm, so with that Main Dining Room capacity, will we be able to fill the Arcadia Theatre without any problems all taking the same dinner seating (if it even works similarly to HAL)? Because that would mean more than double the monkeys. 😀

kateParticipantRoom Service
We offer room service to all our guests for breakfast, lunch and dinner, 24 hours a day.* The room service menu can be found in the Cruise Services Directory in your stateroom and offers selections for all meals and light snacks. During certain hours of the day, you can also order from the main dining room menu – just ask for details when you’re onboard.
*A late night service charge applies.

kateParticipantWhat are the dress codes onboard?
There are three distinct types of evenings onboard: casual, smart casual and formal. Suggested guidelines for these nights are:
Casual: Sport shirts and slacks for men, sundresses or pants for women
Smart Casual: Jackets and ties for men, dresses or pantsuits for women
Formal: Suits and ties or tuxedos for men, cocktail dresses for womenThe number of smart casual and formal nights is at the ship’s discretion.
Cruise Length | Casual | Smart Casual | Formal
7-night | 4 casual nights | 1 smart casual night | 2 formal nights
We appreciate your usual parental guidance and cooperation in observing these easy guidelines with your children.
Please note ice skating on our Voyager Class & Freedom Class ships requires that all skaters wear long pants and socks for their own comfort and safety. Capris and long shorts are permitted.

ShouganaiParticipantboo, not allowed to even bring non-alcoholic drinks on board! The two of us got by with 2 six packs of pop between us, last cruise.

origamislayerParticipantSix wi-fi hot spots. That’s dissapointing

BrettGlassParticipant[Comment about limited Wi-Fi access locations deleted; apparently, it’s not an issue on this ship after all.]
More than half a dollar per minute… unless the Home Office can negotiate a discount?
April 7, 2012 at 2:25 am #84347paulandstorm
Participant@origamislayer @BrettGlass Wi-fi is available throughout the ship, and in your stateroom. See here:
Relevant sections:1. Is Wi-Fi available throughout the ship?
- The service is available throughout the ship for Freedom, Liberty and Independence of the Seas® .
2. Is Wi-Fi available in my stateroom?- Wi-Fi is available in your stateroom using your own laptop for Freedom, Liberty and Independence of the Seas®.
Also, we are working on a discount for internet access; it won’t be massive, but should be *roughly* comparable to the rates we had on HAL.

origamislayerParticipant@paulandstorm I didn’t think we’d backslide on that point, but I didn’t know if you’d consider it a dealbreaker when choosing a ship (and wow, what a ship!). I assume you also know the answer to the question “Do they have more than 200 IPs to hand out” 😉

BrettGlassParticipantAh…. Glad to hear that the “Freedom” family of ships is fully functional. I’ve corrected my earlier posting.
Do they, like HAL, use MTN/WMS/Cellular at Sea?
Also — because it was so popular on JCCC2 — how are their facilities for Karaoke?
April 7, 2012 at 11:21 am #84350
kateParticipantThanks so much, @paulandstorm P!
I edited my original post to reflect your clarification. 🙂

kateParticipant@BrettGlass I think I read something that says the ship has a karaoke-dedicated venue.

ParticipantIt does.

Also I demand, DEMAND, I say, that we heretofore refer to the Viking Crown Lounge as the Viking King Hat Lounge from this moment forward.
Demand!
