Newark Layover Link Blitz!
That’s the name of my other emo band. ANYWAYS. Here’s my long list of things I keep meaning to post about but haven’t. In a long long time. First, the stuff that is not interviews with me:
Lesson two from SuperDave – The Future Soon and Lesson three – I Feel Fantastic. Also, Dave has set up a site and a feed especially for these lesson videos.
For Cactus Cafe attendees – Michael Wood blogs about as well as he does a robot voice (and using the same words). I kid because I love! Michael Wood and Andy Bates should have a throw down someday.
RIT’s Surround Sound does Chiron Beta Prime and Still Alive a cappella.
A Code Monkey remix from Miko Squirrel.
Video of a Valentines Day pony-monkey massacre.
The same, but a photo of a cookie.
Still Alive in Mario Paint Composer.
The Portal Cake – for reals!
From long ago (this is getting embarrassing, we’re back before VALENTINE’S DAY here people), Ze Frank and me and lots of other people have this interesting discussion about creativity humunculi.

And now, the stuff that IS interviews with me:
Me guesting on The Geoff Show podcast for Virgin Radio in London, I guess yesterday? What day is it?
An interview with me on the Technology and the Arts Podcast.
A text Q&A session with StuffWeLike.
A BBC Radio interview I did while I was at SXSW.
An interview with the Geekspeak podcast.
An interview – hey, video! – with TV Week, also from SXSW.
Me on episode one of the newly launched SMTV with the lovely and talented Samantha Murphy.
My interview with the Wired GeekDad blog.
Right Then, Bye
What an amazing crowd and fun show it was last night – thank you London and other parts of Europe and the UK. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more excited crowd. Turns out there are plenty of geeks over here too, and to them I say “cheers” and “jolly good” and whatever it is you say over here when things are awesome.
I’m at Gatwick right now eating sausage and preparing to return to my homeland, the United States of America. See you tomorrow Atlanta – bring your A game…
T-Shirt Contest Winners
At long last! I’ve just gone into Pixish to take a look at what happened, and it’s sort of amazing – 117 entries, many of them EXTREMELY AWESOME. First, here are the top 5 vote-getters:
1) Untitled by Tindomiel Muinamir
2) Jonathan Coulton T-Shirt Design by Tony Harsh
3) Untitled by Demetrius
4) Maybe I’m Amazing by Jeremy Dwiggins
5) I Crush Everything by the multi-talented Andy Bates
I’m going to start looking into printing options now, and possibly make them available on CafePress as well. There are plenty of great ones that didn’t make the top five too, so we’ll have to see what to do about that.
As per the contest rules, all five of those folks will get a signed copy of the Thing a Week Box, plus downloads of the entire JoCo catalog in their format of choice. And the big winner, Tindomiel Muinamir, gets a signed iPod Nano preloaded with all songs. Congratulations to the winners (I’ll be in touch to get some details from you) and many thanks to everyone who entered.
A Little Behind
It’s what I have and it’s what I am. The tshirt contest is over but I haven’t even looked yet to see who the winner is. I also have huge (virtual) piles of email and important links to things whose relevance is waning by the minute. But, you know, I have to go to Scotland right now to be on TV (the show is Video Gaiden, BBC Scotland) and then London and then Atlanta. I’ll get to everything soon I promise.
I can tell you now though that the London show has somehow, impossibly, sold out. There will be some small number of standing room tickets at the door, but if you don’t make to this one I’ll be back soon. Apparently there’s an audience over there. Who knew?
Thanks for you patience. More soon.
