GinaParticipantI think we need to fit several people with head cams and just run them all the time. That way we won’t miss a thing!

ParticipantPlease switch off your head cam when entering the head.

ParticipantSoon was apparently 2 weeks. I just got the cruise mailing to the 2011 class. Alas, I did not take any footage while on the cruise (hence why I haven't been on this thread yet), but hopefully other Sea Monkeys who did record will find it now.

ParticipantI took lots of video with things that wish they were camcorders. the footage taken with the Pentax K-x is nice, and the audio is good. The rest is not great audio quality and meh video, taken with a Canon Powershot A470. I uploaded some stuff to my YouTube channel, but I have a ton of content that still needs to be shared. I can provide you with all I have, and let you decide what to use. (BTW, I’ll get back to uploading those once I get Premiere working again – I messed myself up good this time)

ParticipantWell, no more excuses to be had. Both PAXs are behind me, @angelastic and @thatguy both are sending me their footage soon in raw format, and the mailing list has sent a deluge of responses to me. Hunkering down and doing the work for it.
Please use this thread to throw digital rocks at me for not being productive!September 4, 2011 at 2:30 pm #76910
AngelasticParticipantHey, @MJPM! You digitally rock! *throws panties*

ParticipantThat also works! Maybe I can swap you the drive for some PAX 2011 goodness?

autojimParticipantI’ll have my GoPro HD along for the trip, I suspect, as well as a number of unusual mounts for same (I’ll have to pull the roll bar mount out of Darth Neon so it can be clamped to the show lounge balcony rail or equivalent reachable stage lighting rail, for instance). Hope to have the extended battery pack and/or LCD back for it by then, and a (much) bigger SD card.
These things are remarkably good little cameras, reasonably priced, and durable. If you hit the “autojim” YouTube channel, there are some in-car videos. I need to edit and post up last week’s Solo Nationals video (okay, and last *year’s* Solo Nationals video, too). Tried something different on day 2 of Solo Nats this year, mounting the camera inside the windshield of the Cobra. Should have less wind noise and a lot more “Jesus Built My Hotrod” on the soundtrack.Anyway, bottom line is that I’ll be perfectly willing to share my eventual JCCC2 footage under the standard CCASaSA copyleft.September 15, 2011 at 4:09 pm #77183
ThatGuyParticipant@MJPM turns out, things happen. How about just worry about it in StL before the show?

Participant@ThatGuy (didn’t even check this thread). I mentioned the same on Facebook, so let’s try the St. Louis show, yeah.
