ParticipantThis is slightly JoCo related. If you remember, Jonathan interviewed a Spore developer last year, well the creature editor is out for free now.
I had a go at creating the obvious thing…a Ponkey, but I didn’t do a very good job.

ParticipantI wanna see your Ponkey, Kerrin. Will you share?

Jon WhoParticipantI can’t get it to run…Says I may need to reinstall the application, which I did, and it still won’t work….
June 19, 2008 at 9:48 am #43573Gle3nn
ParticipantI installed it and it disappeared. It took three attempts to make it work. Very strange.

ParticipantGle3nn & Jon Who: I’ve heard the same thing on another forum I’m part of, the one thing that they’ve found to work is to uninstall the EA download manager (or whatever it’s called). EA is in mid fix right now I would hope. I’ll see what my star wars gamer people come up with and copy it here.
June 19, 2008 at 10:55 am #43590
Jon WhoParticipantI uninstalled EA and it still says the same thing.

ParticipantI uninstalled EA
if you were able to really do that, y’know, uninstall EA from reality, you would win a nobel prize. srsly. i am sort of vaguely interested in spore, but not enough that i’d be willing to have a piece of EA software beyond just a specific game. i guarantee that sucker’s reporting usage statistics at least.

Participanthmmm, interesting, I haven’t heard on anything more from the other forum. Not everyone is having the problem, because there are a lot of screen shots up.
Since it’s in the public section of the forums I can post a link and it won’t ask for a password. Maybe there’s something I’m not seeing, Freeworlds: Spore Creature Creator Thread
Info on the forum: it’s for a modification of the Microsoft game Freelancer that makes it the Star Wars Universe, complete with ship models and cranky Imperials.June 19, 2008 at 12:23 pm #43600
Jon WhoParticipantI don’t like Spore. And it doesn’t like me.
June 19, 2008 at 12:33 pm #43604Agent Lex
ParticipantI don’t like Spore.
Don’t let these guys hear you say that.
June 19, 2008 at 12:52 pm #43605
Jon WhoParticipantMy main reason for not liking it is that it doesn’t work…..*increasing angry tone*

AngelasticParticipantWell I’d never heard of Spore before, but it sounds like it’s not worth my while trying to install it to find out what it is. Where can I find a picture of the ponkey?
ETA: It’s not supported on my processor anyway.
