I’ll definitely be at Springhill that night but I heard someone mention a comedy club near by. If the digs are cramped at the hotel, may head out for the show. Or Dave and Busters is always cool.
We are now, in all likelihood, out of the pre-cruise gathering because Delta/KLM have changed our flights so much that we now have a 6.5 hour layover in Detroit and don’t get in until 10.30 🙁 Stoopid airplane people. Why are they allowed to do that??!
Well, on the plus side, if you’re going to have to wait in an airport terminal, the Detroit one is a pretty good one to wait in. Suggestion: check out the Westin that’s attached to the terminal; they often have day/evening rates which will allow you to relax, freshen up a bit, etc.
(I’m a recent escapee from the Detroit area and very familiar with that airport.)
It’s official: @SunnyTana and I will be at the SpringHills for the evening. Not sure what we’re doing yet (other than pre-catching-up on sleep so we don’t burn out over then next week), but we’ll definitely pop in to the event room to say hello. 🙂
frithuswith, if an airline changes your schedule by more than an hour, you can call to complain and they will try to put you on an alternate flight, free of charge.
Since I am a full-fledged JoCo2 passenger, I can now safely say that I’m staying at the Comfort Inn just down the street, but will be walking up to the group event this evening.
