ParticipantOh, you’re right, overlooked that. My bad. ^^;;
June 15, 2008 at 3:20 am #42753
Jon WhoParticipantDoes that mean that when I go home tonight I can has tickets?
June 15, 2008 at 1:43 pm #42800
Jon WhoParticipantYay! I has tickets! A14 means you’ll be with either BenS, Gingerlink or myself. How lucky you are Lex. I think….
ETA: This seating plan confuses Jon Who…*sad face*

ParticipantHey, why was AgentLex’s booking fee more than mine (per ticket), mine was just over £3 a ticket.
The seats look numbered from right to left, the center section starts at 9 in the front row (I know as I have 9 and 10), so assuming there is a number 13, it is the last one on the right of the center section.
June 15, 2008 at 3:22 pm #42818
Jon WhoParticipantMine was £2.94
June 15, 2008 at 3:24 pm #42819kerrin
ParticipantAre they just using random numbers for the booking fee?
June 15, 2008 at 3:27 pm #42823
Jon WhoParticipantMaybe the later you book the more you pay? Did I pay before Agent Lex and yourself?
June 15, 2008 at 3:32 pm #42826kerrin
ParticipantI doubt it, I booked before the first follow up post on this thread, and you were still worrying about something or other before booking.
ETA: Just looked, you were worried about an age restriction, should have guessed 😉
June 15, 2008 at 3:34 pm #42828
Jon WhoParticipantOf course. Always am. How about number of tickets purchased? Or it is just random.
June 15, 2008 at 3:39 pm #42832kerrin
ParticipantI got 2, and the price was about £3.33 per ticket (don’t hold me to that, it’s been a long weekend for me)
June 15, 2008 at 3:41 pm #42834
Jon WhoParticipantWell, I bought 3, and I think Lex bought 1. Therefore the more tickets you buy the lower the booking fee I guess…
June 15, 2008 at 3:48 pm #42838Agent Lex
ParticipantI’m also guessing that’s the case. It does say, in small print, “Average fee (approximate)” so I assume it’s the average per-ticket.

Participantdue to the sudden large number of over there cover threads (ok, a couple), I’ll post what I’ve got here so far
Take a boat, take a plane
Go to Texas, go to Maine
Take a train from Washington to Ohio
*lack of ideas for this next bit*Over there, you’ll never feel at ease
everything comes with too much cheese
they all drive ’round in SUVs
over there, they’ll make you think twice
about saving their asses in world war 3 (simpsons reference, for the hell of it)
don’t make me go, over therein texas you can eat
a 5lb chunk of meat
and no-one will say
“hey, you can’t eat all that”
more donuts than you could care,
deep fried twinkie at the fair,
but I hope you don’t want a pasty
because they don’t make decent pastys over there.Over there, you’ll never feel at ease
everything comes with too much cheese
they all drive ’round in SUVs
over there, they’ll make you think twice
about saving their asses in world war 3
don’t make me go, over therebecause I enjoy *something* here
and I enjoy a choice of beer
I really don’t like guns
and I like to not get sued

mtgordonParticipantActually, there’s a shop in Madison, Wisconsin that makes decent pasties, though they’ve expanded the menu beyond strict authenticity to suit the American palate. The southwestern part of the state had a fairly substantial influx of Cornish immigrants at one point during a mining boom, and they brought their cuisine. I was introduced to the place by a college roommate of Cornish ancestry. In fairness, I’ve never seen them served anywhere else in the country, so I can’t say the song is terribly incorrect.
