ParticipantSince the cruise overlaps with Valentine’s Day, I thought it would be great to offer a deal on boutonnieres or corsages in a special section of my website, solely to Sea Monkeys – http://www.flauxers.com/seamonkey.html. Custom requests are always welcome. (Note: The available corsage bracelet designs can be found here: http://www.creationsbyfitzdesign.com/contents/en-us/d1.html) All corsages are $13 and all boutonierres are $8, regardless of flowers/colors – I can probably get your favorite flower – just ask. Additional photos of boutonierres that I’ve done can be found here: http://www.flauxers.com/weddings.html
Orders placed prior to January 26, 2013 will be shipped prior to JCCC3 (unless otherwise requested). All orders placed after this date, but before February 1, 2013, can be delivered on JCCC3. No sales after February 1, 2013 will be available on the cruise. Note: All payments must be received prior to boarding the ship.
Also, as with all items on my website, US shipping is FREE. If you’re ordering from another country, please email me (sales[at]flauxers[dot]com), so that I can work with you to determine the best shipping option.

AngelasticParticipantOoh good, now I don’t have to dig that link up. 🙂 I was thinking of ordering some headbands or bobby pins for a music video I wanted to make on the cruise. Can you make them with different kinds of flowers too? Not that I actually know what kinds I’d want.

Participant@angelastic Fun idea! I most certainly can. Check out http://WWW.flauxers.com/accessories.HTML for other items that I have created. I currently have large orange hibiscus blooms in stock that may work really well for your idea. When you decide which flowers you want, let me know, so that I can order them (if I don’t already have them), and work on putting together something extra fun. 🙂
@sapphiremind Yay! And thanks!January 24, 2013 at 10:42 pm #92478
SapphireMindParticipantJust placed my order. I was debating whether I wanted a different flower, but I decided I liked the gardenia 🙂

Participant@sapphiremind Awesome! Thanks! I’ll get this in the mail for you as soon as possible. 🙂

AngelasticParticipant@sunnytana: I did already look at that. 🙂 I guess it would make sense to use similar flowers to those we might actually find growing by the shore (so we can film those and have it somewhat believable that we’re using them, though that’s not a huge deal) or at florists there, but I don’t have much idea of that except that there are bougainvillias on Coco Cay. I like the idea of hibiscuses too though.
Since I was also thinking of filming things involving flowers by people’s sand castles on Coco Cay, and I think the only other way of getting flowers there (without actually picking any) would be to get them from the ship’s florist, I was wondering if you can sell some individual flauxers that haven’t necessarily been arranged or made into anything. Or maybe they could be bobby pins as long as it’s not too difficult to hide the non-flower parts.January 25, 2013 at 7:10 pm #92619gbasden
ParticipantI was just thinking that those would be cool for the sand castle filming.

Participant@angelastic I definitely can sell the flauxers themselves, in their original state. I’ll research the flowers in the area, so that I can give you some options. 🙂

Participant@angelastic I found this great site that lists a number of flowers that grow in the Bahamas. One potential hiccup is that some of these flowers, including the national flower “yellow elder” are hard to find in the silk/artificial flower form. This often causes them to be expensive, if they are able to be found. Let me know what you decide to do. 🙂

ParticipantI think that my husband and I will be wearing our corsage/boutonierre on the Mustache formal night, instead of Valentine’s day. 🙂@angelastic – I just looked, and I also have Amaryllis in stock that may be good to use as well. 🙂
January 29, 2013 at 4:31 pm #93193
AngelasticParticipantDarnit, I needed Amaryllis (a.k.a. naked ladies) for the last music video I made! With stems, they’d be good ones to pretend are actually growing by the shore (though I’m getting more ideas about how everything specific about where flowers grow could be represented with origami/flauxers and sand castles now.) I’ll email you at the sales address rather than cluttering this thread, though if you have any particular ideas for the video (or if you want to be in it), don’t hesitate to post in that thread.

ColleenkyParticipant@sunnytana Is it too late to order? I just realized that I completely forgot to see if Rob wants a boutonniere. #DitzyColleen

Participant@collenky No worries – Orders can be made until 2/1. 🙂
@angelastic I think your ideas sound pretty awesome. I am looking forward to your email.February 1, 2013 at 11:40 am #93500sunnytana
ParticipantToday is the last day to order. Email me for custom requests – prices are the same, regardless of the flowers used.
