Someone did some tablature for code monkey, and now I can't remember where I saw it. I did the chords, but the tablature would be helpful too, so I'd like to link to it. Anyone remember seeing it in the forums or the comments? Or was it emailed to me and now I've lost it? (Note: I have certainly "lost it," that fact is not in question).

    Jon,
Here's the link. Found it left by Neil in the Code Monkey Chords comments. May 2nd. http://www.archive.org/details/CodeMonkey

Then you have to click on the "Read Text" link to the left. File will then open with tablature.
    Direct link.

Are the chords for Code Monkey on this site the same chords used in this live performance that I found on YouTube? I find them hard to compare since JoCo is just too far to see his hands.

If anyone has the solo live chords, I would appreciate them since I have no band. And no recording studio. And no talent. :) Thanks.

This was done pretty quickly, so it might be wrong in some places, but here you go.

Is there any way to get the Ukulele part of the remix up here? Odd question, but it would be useful.

As requested, Code Monkey Uke Remix tabs. Have fun. Let me know if I wrote anything out confusingly.

    Code Monkey

    E (4441)
    G#min	(8876)
    C#min	(6444)
    F#min	(6654)

Verse riff, repeat over and over like there’s no tomorrow:

        E B A B
    A|---------2--------------2--------------0---2---2--2-----
    E|------4-----4-------2------2-------0-------2---2--2-----
    C|--4-------------3--------------1-----------3---3--3-----
    G|---------------------------------------------------------

    Pre-chorus:
                        A B E(9877) B(8676) A(6454)
Code Monkey think maybe manager wanna write god damned login page himself
         B A
Code Monkey not say it out loud
                     B
Code Monkey not crazy, just proud

    Chorus:
                     E(9877) G#min
    Code Monkey like Fritos
                    C#min B
Code Monkey like Tab and Mountain Dew
                      A
    Code Monkey very simple man
                         F#min B
With big warm fuzzy secret heart:
    		  [resume verse riff]
    Code Monkey like you

    Verse, Chorus

    Bridge:
    D A Am E
    D A Am

    Verse, Chorus

End with a few more verse riffs, and close with a flourish:

       E B A B E
    A|---------2--------------2--------------0---2---------7--
    E|------4-----4-------2------2-------0-------2---------4--
    C|--4-------------3--------------1-----------3---------4--
    G|---------------------------------------------------------

Notes: In the live performances, the B in the chorus over “Dew . . .” is replaced with an E because it sounds better with the guitar part. I still think B sounds better on solo uke, and that allows you to avoid playing an E chord, the bane of the uke player’s existence.

I believe guitar players feeling left out can play along if they put a capo on the 5th fret! (I think it’s the 5th. Someone who knows what they’re talking about correct me if I’m wrong.)

Btw, for anyone trying to learn this song, there's a nice clear video of JoCo playing the acoustic version at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7s8S7QxpjeY. Much easier to see than concert vids.

The server hosting the PDF version of the tabs doesn't seem to be up. I'm not sure whether this is a transient problem or a permanent disappearance.
