I would much rather have a first come first served system. Lottery systems bum -everyone- out. The cabanas hold up to six people. The odds of every member of your group being unavailable should be minimized by that. And if you are all going to be unavailable, ask a friend to do it for you. All you need is two clicks and a booking code.
As for those that got through, since it was First Come First Served and the errors were server side, I feel those that got through were actually first and should keep their bookings. Full disclosure, I am biased because I am in a group that got through.
