A real admin would care that you were drifting off topic, Jester — fortunately, I’m not a real admin, just the kind of obsessive who checks the forums at 2:50 in the morning. [That said, it would be nice if people would try and veer towards wiki-related stuff within this thread.]
In general, JoCo tries to stick around post-show to sign merch and chat with fans, so that would usually be the best time. As I’ve mentioned in earlier posts, though, that may vary — of the three shows I’ve been to, two have ended under time constraints (one, last October in Somerville, didn’t get started until so late that he played right up ’til closing time, and last Thursday’s show at Northampton was cut short because another show was booked right after), so at each of those shows I didn’t have the chance to say hello post-show. I’d suggest checking to see if anything like that might apply to the show you’re going to — if not, after the show is your best option. (Of course, even if post-show won’t work, it’s still not a given that he’ll be available pre-show.)
