hey, so, for what it’s worth, I was often sitting wayupclose in Alhambra and I never had a problem with people talking around me. The occasionally fun-loving call out or heckle, but no conversations. Maybe that is one reason why people stood in line? I stood in line on two occasions, when there was comedy happening, because in comedy it is important for me to see people’s faces.
as for Studio B, it is not an ideal venue, and it’s getting too small for us, I think, but I love that there is room to dance. Even if all I want to do is bop gently in place, it’s nice to be able to move a little to the music.
also! I do not have children, never will have children, and don’t enjoy the company of most children, but I still tend to censor myself around them and not swear. I do this because even though I don’t think it’s a big deal to swear in front of kids, some people do, and I try to respect the parenting strategies of other people. I consider it common courtesy. also also I enjoy anything that will change up a song I have heard live about 3 dozen times! I want to see how many years in a row Coulton can change the lyrics to First of May to something different! 😀
I enjoyed the motivational speaking at open mic. 🙂 It was at times passionate and endearing, and I felt touched. OH! And I thought Hank and Jack were adorable and charming open mic hosts! And Hank’s wife BROUGHT IT on the dance floor, you guys.
