Lots of thoughts after reading through all these. Here we go, in no particular order:

* I got the impression the edited lyrics to 1st of May were mostly due to JoCo’s own children being present rather than anyone else’s. I also like that hugging became something of a meme on the last day, along the lines of #sexparty.

* Talking during shows. As with many of the issues raised in the Post Mortem discussion so far, I’m conflicted about how to approach this issue, because it’s going to affect people differently depending on how many times they’ve seen the various performers or how many JCCC’s they’ve been on. This will become a refrain in my comments but I think that these are issues that require some forethought before the cruise and simple communication before and during.

For example, it seems to me that some of the shows are meant to be more interactive, with audience participation (at times, PoSto shows remind me fondly of Rocky Horror), while others are more clearly not. As with the recording prerogative, I suggest that performers have some options (none, some, lots) to select when they agree to do the cruise. That way there’d be some warning for audience members if a show is likely to encourage talking and a reminder to the audience when that is not so welcome. In addition, perhaps we can establish very general seating guidelines (e.g. one side of Studio B is talking, the other is not; 4th floor Alhambra is for talking, 3rd floor is not; etc.).

More later. I need to go not-destroy my laptop for erasing the last hour’s worth of thoughts.
