Lines: I will admit to being one of those who sat on the bottom step and crowded in when the doors opened. Mobility issues precluded my attempting the regular steps. I know others had worse issues than I do. But not all issues are immediately visible. Any way to designate those with mobility issues? Maybe extra stickers (very visible) on the badge? Designated gathering area for those with issues?
Kids in the game room: My daughter was only interested in the Joust game and the legos. She LOVED the jousting; so much so that I had to institute a 2:1 rule on her – she had to sit out 2 games after every game she played. While the adults in the room seemed not to have a problem with the kids playing, I felt that she needed to let the adults play against each other. I was uncomfortable letting her play as often as SHE wanted. I don’t think we have enough kids (by any definition) to have a kid’s game area, but maybe if kids get interested in a particular game, have designated “kids allowed” vs “adults only” rounds? Not sure how to work things with the board games section.
Open Mic/Karaoke: I don’t expect those to be the same level as the professional shows. Maybe explicitly putting the word “Amateur” in the title?
