@vililicious: i completely agree and shared your experience of people talking loudly and nonstop during performances in Studio B this year (and not last year). i really wanted to sit at the tables at the top because the chairs there have no arms and dear god my hips, but it was utterly impossible to hear. some of the time, the people talking loudly belonged to the entourages of some of the entertainers, which is extra-disappointing.

another bit of feedback regarding sound: during the (KICKASS OMG DON’T EVER STOP THIS) drunken celebrity Artemis, the music was turned up very loudly, so it was pretty difficult to hear the crew’s voices.
i have to say that i am with @chicazul re: amateur performances. i’m kind of a perfectionist and the lack of preparedness makes me uncomfortably anxious on their behalf, but these events aren’t about me, and i think it’s fantastic that seamonkeys get their nerve up to go on stage and have a great time doing it. if the events don’t appeal to you because they’re not polished enough, there’s so much else going on that it shouldn’t be difficult to find another thing to do during that time (or sleep/recharge introversion batteries).
