@Gina Yes, it accomplished what it needed to, thanks for asking.
And yes, it is more complicated than that–without getting into details, there are points along the way where the group can reduce their allotment by certain amounts–hence the announcements we’ve made every so often re: “we’re reducing our inventory on [date X], book before then for the best possible range of choices.” But it still involves trying to guess pretty precisely up front how many people will be coming. The process involves protractors, three crystal balls, a TI-99/4A computer, and an effigy of Richard Feynman.
