Normally I would not be a late booker like this at all, it is just the way chaos happened this year. Having planned a large-scale event at a hotel (which also necessitated a quota booking of rooms) before I can also appreciate the position that it puts the planners in when things don’t turn out “just right”.
Plus us late bookers get stuck with the leftover rooms 😉 I’m going to be somewhere with no windows. And possibly a gulag. But worth it for everything else!
Promise next year I will book early and often 😉
