I just saw the thread RE: Artemis, and it reminded me that even though the analog games of the game room are fantastic, the digital side sometimes gets the cold shoulder. It’s difficult to lug around consoles (though @icemage has been very gracious with his RockBand collection), but perhaps the gap can be filled with a little LAN-ing?
What I’m proposing is:
Tell me what games you would be interested in playing, and I will gather the necessary information to run via LAN (for example, Portal 2 and the Left4Dead games require a few console commands). I’ll compile this into a list of instructions which can be left in the game room. I’ll also see if I can dig up my old 4-port router, provided it is stored safely with the stack-o-games when not in use.
IF a game requires a dedicated server, let me know. I’m already considering loading the Minecraft server onto my laptop in case there is interest in having some adventures or building something epic.
