I avoided taking science classes in high school as much as I possibly could. I stopped at the minimum required classes (which I think was either 2 or 3 semester long classes). Though, I’m glad for my college science classes, as they brought my love of science.
This book is, for me, a lovely refresher course in general science. As a child, I remember devouring any science book I could get my hands on, and thought I would pursue some branch of the hard sciences in college until I reached high school and my poor brain was broken on the rocks of the higher mathematics I would need.
