Bumping this thread to continue the discussion of Humble and its support of EFF, a lobbying group which campaigns against artists’ and creators’ rights and in favor of the agendas of corporations such as Google (which funds the paychecks of three of its directors) and BitTorrent, Inc. (with which it has an interlocking directorate). EFF’s “Switzerland” software was specifically designed to benefit BitTorrent, Inc., whose business relies on piracy of movies and music.
Again, I believe that if JoCo had known more about EFF’s actions and motivations, he might not have consented to the use of his music in fund raising activities for it.
