Reply To: Introduce Yourself
I’m not sure exactly why I’m introducing myself, but when do I get around to joining a conversation, I guess people will see that I started posting way back in 2012.
I first consciously became a JoCo fan in the last couple of months (though I’ve had a copy of his version of “Baby’s Got Back” for longer without realizing who the artist was), having pre-registered for JCCC3, having observed the apparent good times in the works of Joel Watson, one of my favorite commenters on culture. Now I’ve spent a month listening almost exclusively to all the songs he (Mr. Coulton, not Mr. Watson) has put out, and I feel like I’ve pretty much caught up.
I’m a computer programmer by training, and I tell the IRS that’s my job; I advocate that while in Latin “data” is plural, in English it is a mass noun like “water”; I knit; I play go; I cook; I take standardized tests for sport; I’ve recently started wearing hats.
“Fraud” seems to be about parenthood as far as I can tell. If that’s old news, oh well, but I haven’t found it said anywhere in an extensive minute of searching. Mostly, this post seemed to need a paragraph that didn’t start with “I”.
