If anyone is interested in doing a zipline experience, we went here with our niece last year (I think) and it was a lot of fun: http://www.zoomair.us/
As a current Preferred Annual Pass holder for Universal Orlando, I might be able to get special discounts above and beyond the regular group rates. I know that some of the VIP tours (which include front-of-line access to rides, skipping even the Express lines) are discounted for passholders. There’s a special number for us to call to find out that kind of thing.
You can definitely do both parks in one day in the off season on a weekday, even without an Express pass, provided your mobility is up to the challenge. I think I mentioned before the last cruise, you’re probably going to end up skipping all of the rides in Toon Lagoon and maybe even Jurassic Park at Islands of Adventure in February, unless it’s unseasonably warm. There’s nothing available to the general public (in terms of rides) on either island that won’t leave you quite wet at the end.
Even Universal Studios is down one entire area since they demolished Amity and Jaws to make way for (rumor has it) the Harry Potter expansion. So, there’s less stuff to see there at the moment, too.
Find yourself at Universal on the same day I’m there, and I’ll get you my discount on all food and merchandise in the parks. 🙂
The cost-to-ride ratio at Universal is just WAY better for me than Disney. Also the time investment. There are so few things at Disney I’m interested in experiencing and they’re so spread out, needing to take the monorail and a bus and a ferry… it’s insane. At Universal I walk out of the gates of one park, past two restaurants, and into the gates of the other. Convenience! 🙂
