@kate, @Grimoire – thanks, I’ll give it a try. This year I’m going for a D1, so I presume there is no chance of being upgraded to a JS!
I ended up getting up to a room by the elevator on deck 8 last year – and I was mad at 1st, but actually grew very fond of that room! No noise at all from elevators, and we felt tucked in and protected with no room on one side of us. Also, no one could see us, unless we were leaning over the railing.
The only weirdness I see on the new ship is not wanting to be under the whirlpools that hang out so far over the edge.
Anyone else spot anything that might not be desirable on the Freedom of the Seas?
