To my knowledge, there is no charge for in-room breakfasts or any other additional food (not counting soda or alcohol) ordered to the room at any time. I don’t know whether immediate tipping (apart form the $11/day gratuities which we are charged by default) was in any way expected or would have made a difference to future room service. I assume not, since there’d be no point, say, rewarding good tippers with extra hardboiled eggs, when we can order as many hardboiled eggs as we want for free anyway. But I’ve never lived anywhere where tipping was customary, so I’m really clueless about that.
