@Photo_Wolfe7 This is just me talking, but my instinct is this: if you’re talking the pattern, it’s a little flashy but you could probably get away with it. If you’re talking about the style, it seems a bit too informal. mostly because it’s so short. (Something that short for a formal night would have to be more “little black cocktail dress”-ish and a little less “groovy swimwear cover-up”-ish)
You might get away with it, given the right shoes and/or accessories; but if you want my opinion, I’d go with something at least one step more “dressy.” Think of it this way: if you saw a person wearing that dress standing next to someone wearing a suit (or at least a jacket and tie), would they look like they were about to attend the same event?
