Reply To: Pre-Cruise Orlando/Kennedy Take Over

9 weeks. Argh! Time to start pinning down details!
My flight is booked, I’ll be arriving sometime late on the 15th. Yay!
Still haven’t figured out how I’m getting to FLL from Orlando — but it seems like the time commitment is about equal for driving vs. flying. I’m thinking it might be easier to rent a car for the Orlando bit but fly down to FLL, as the 1 way rental fees I’ve found qualify as highway robbery.
So now: hotel booking? Anyone got a plan? Does it make more sense to stay near Disney or Universal Studios and rent a car (or bum a ride) out to KSC?
Update: I’ll definitely be flying between MCO and FLL –my partner decided to take vacation time to come to Orlando although he won’t be joining us on the cruise, and flying means an extra half a day with him in Orlando. Apologies if anyone was counting on me to share the cost of renting a van down to FLL.
