Obviously I can’t say there won’t be jellyfish, but I can say you would not need to get peed on if stung!
I’m a diver and I dislike snorkeling, partially because some of the sites are scary. I was snorkeling in Hawaii and was horrified at the number of (poisonous!) sea urchins on the bottom of the popular, shallow shore area. If memory serves, a lady was being taken away in an ambulance at one point . So my first inclination is to say that scuba sites might be less infested with nasties in general (more places to scuba, since depth is not a problem means you can afford to be picky?). Although, I’ve never actually encountered jellyfish before. (closest to the Carribean I’ve been is the Bahamas)
You could wear a long wetsuit! You might want to anyway if you get cold easily. They usually have wetsuits for rent at dive shops. I tend to prefer a thin (3-5 mm) full-length wetsuit for tropical climates anyway. The only thing that wouldn’t be covered then would basically be your hands and face, which are generally easy to keep an eye out for!
