Greetings Scubans!
I’ve never been scuba diving outside of a swimming pool (an indoor pool at that), but I’ve always wanted to learn. So I’ll probably be signing up for the Discover Scuba Diving excursion in Aruba. I had a question for all you experienced divers (which I also posted in another forum and later realized this was a better place to ask).
@Res
mentioned she was stung by many jellyfish at HMC while snorkeling. You
know how some girls screech and dance from foot to foot and climb on
chairs when there’s a spider in the room (terrible stereotype, I know,
but…well, I’ve seen it happen and so have you)? Anyway, that’s me
with jellyfish. I hate them. The freak me right out. I’d call it an
irrational phobia, but it’s quite frankly perfectly rational. THEY ARE
NOT FROM THIS PLANET. Just look at them! LOOK AT THEM! They are a
precursor to an extraterrestrial invasion. Also they sting you and then
you get peed on. I want nothing to do with them!
So I’m asking someone to assure me that there will not be jellyfish in the ocean during the week of our cruise.
Anyone?
