I’m sure Paul S will bring his tin whistle to play the amusing D&D-themed material that’s now at the top of the P&S Web site. If you’re doing Renaissance music, I can play anything with Baroque fingering; it’s been hard-coded into my fingers since I was 6.
One of my favorite bits by Peter Schickele is PDQ Bach’s “Concerto for Bassoon vs. Orchestra.” Midway through the piece, Shickele finds some problem with the instrument and hands it to the stage manager, who takes it offstage. The sound of a circular saw cutting wood is heard….
