Hi all! I’m Thalandor46, or Thala if you prefer, or Kevin when I meet a number of you on JCCC2! I’ve been a long time JoCo fan and a not-quite-as-long Paul and Storm fan pretty much through internet osmosis. I am a professional code monkey in NV, and I am primarily a gamer nerd and anime nerd. I have also dabbled in a great deal of other nerdisms, of course, but those two are easily the strongest.
I saw JoCo and Paul and Storm in person for the first time at DragonCon, both at the Paul and Storm podcast (first in line!) and GONZOROO (definitely not first in line!), and it was just as amazing as the internet had lead me to believe. I was intrigued upon hearing mentions of JCCC2, but seeing that it was a 7 day cruise, I didn’t think it would be possible to pull off without quitting my job or sacrificing other annual pilgrimages. But then the brain gears started turning, and after some careful planning and a successful pitch to my boss involving promises of substantial amounts of overtime, I officially booked yesterday!
So I imagine I’ll primarily be present here for Sea Monkey related matters, but who knows. Given the type of community this almost certainly is, mayhaps I’ll find myself poking around in other parts of the board. Either way, thrilled to be here, and absolutely cannot wait till February! 😀
