I can't believe I hadn't heard of JoCo before about a year ago. My wife and I were playing a RPG in which she was a living toy. She made a soundtrack for her character and in her search found "Creepy Doll" for the album. It was all downhill from there.
I've since been inspired to write my own music! I have a goal to complete an album by May 2011, so we'll see what happens. I started in my songwriting adventures slowly, by using a couple JoCo songs and authoring new lyrics to the music. Then I produced a couple originals, and I now stand at 4 completed, one close to being completed, and a backlog of 11 ideas. I always thought the ideas would be the hardest part, but it truly is all about the perspiration. The arranging, programming (for instruments I don't play myself), recording, mixing, and mastering takes way more time than I thought, and in the end my sound isn't nearly as clean and professional as JoCo's. I may end up having to hire a recording engineer to redo all my stuff.
Anyway, it's great to be among fellow JoCo fans. I hope to get to a concert some day if he's playing near me.
