Reply To: Introduce Yourself
I guess since I have now been lurking for a couple months I should maybe post something. I am Pooki and whether I say my actual name or not on the net it seems that I am always still referred to as Pooki. 
I am a 32 year old housewife from Va and I had heard of Mr. Coulton in a round about way from following Wil Wheaton on Twitter but didn't really stop to listen until I was looking at PAX videos on youtube wishing I was there. I watched the Wil Wheaton version of My Monkey and was intrigued. I watched a few more videos and found my way to his website right before Christmas where I promptly bought the Best. Concert. Ever. Dvd/Cd set. Since it also came with Mp3s I didn't have to wait for the disc to get here and I proceeded to bug friends and family members with his and Paul and Storm's music.
I am a gamer, geek, and all around band nerd. I was in marching band in high school and have learned to play several instruments and now I am learning guitar. That is another reason I like this music so much, I love acoustic guitar. I used to hate live performances but since I started listening to JoCo's music I must say I prefer his live versions. I have been a gamer/sci-fi/comic/computer lover since I was very young. I am also trying to learn code now and every time I go to read something about it I get Code Monkey in my head. I hope to be able to go to a convention and concert one day soon. Being in rural VA there isn't much around here so I don't get out too much.
I have been soaking up everything that I can since that fateful day in December and I think one of the biggest shockers is that my mother had heard of JoCo but didn't really know who he was. Normally our tastes differ on music and such. Since then we have been plotting ways to get to a concert. Anyway that is my intro and I hope I didn't bore you to tears too much.
Oh yes I also tend to ramble on and on…
