I think most of Caleb’s points are excellently made. Little things like the bell timing and intonation should be noncontentious and easy to fix, but the major takeaway for me is the point about aural fatigue.
As an alternative to Caleb’s suggestion about *starting lighter*, I’d say the beginning is pretty cool, but I think it needs to get simpler pretty quickly – my instinct would be to tone down the creamy stuff and drive it with light percussion instead of the pulsing bass from “Then at night” onwards. As an alternative to taking the synth drone up an octave, maybe just remove more low mids. Doing that to some of the vocal doubling (in lieu of, or in addition to removing some) may help to lighten things up as well.
