When I was a kid, it was a very special and rare occasion for us to be allowed “childrens coffee” which was about a quarter cup of coffee and the rest ofthe cup filled with milk. Not big tea drinkers, tea was for when you were sick, mom would make a cup of it and pour it over saltines with a dab of butter in the middle. Supposed to be good for stomach viruses that had you getting sick all over.
