@borba, by the way did you ever decide which key? If we’re going with a shifted version, could you upload it? I should probably practice ahead of time :).
Btw, to put in my two cents on the key: personally I’m a bass. My range is e flat to middle c (I can go a little higher, but it isn’t pretty :)). Shifting the key to D or lower might actually force me to sing an octave higher than I would otherwise to get the low notes. I’m a pretty amateurish singer, though, so don’t worry about accommodating me if a lower key is better for other folks. I’ll contribute what I can. Maybe you or blackcatbon (my wife and also musically inclined) could help me work out a harmony if the melody ends up going outside my range…?

ETA: Bon just home, and recommends that I don’t try to do it in my lowest octave anyways, so shifting it down might be just as well 🙂
