Reply To: Tis the season to explode the atmosphere
I like the idea of “My elves think I’m too jolly,” but it doesn’t scan so well; “Even” is removed, and “too” is added, for a net loss of one syllable, and the whole thing is shifted a bit. I suppose it’s still singable, but the timing isn’t so clear if we deviate from the meter of the original.
I’m not convinced that “A little more cozy on my knee” scans well, but I’m considering it.
ETA: I think it’s odd that I’m in charge of the lyrics of a Christmas song. 😉
