Reply To: Introduce Yourself
Hi people,
I've been lurking for a while but thought I should delurk as I'm going to the gig in Birmingham tomorrow. I'm very excited, especially as I missed out on the London gig earlier this year even though I was in London for the EasterCon the next day (although I did get to see Mitch Benn do a fantastic gig there).
I discovered JoCo though listening to podcasts like Escape Pod and hearing all these amazing podsafe songs at the end, after I'd heard Skullcrusher Mountain, Creepy Doll and Chiron Beta Prime, I finally went and Googled them and found they were all by the same genius
I live in Nottingham, UK (but didn't go to the GameCity gig today as I couldn't get time off work for the whole day). I've lived here since I graduated from university in Canterbury and previously grew up in the Peterborough area.
I'm a big science fiction and fantasy fan, and a keen filker. My lifelong main fandom has been Doctor Who. As well as writing filk, I'm create digital art, including Doctor Who fan art http://jinkies36.deviantart.com/gallery/#Doctor-Who-fan-art
I'm hoping to meet up with some of you guys at, or perhaps before, the gig in Birmingham. Are there any plans for a meet up yet?
Thanks,
Nat.
