Hi Folks!
I'm Matt. I'm an eye doctor. I live in Nyack, and I'm partly responsible for booking Jonathan at Riverspace for this event. The event is held at Riverspace Arts Center, ( http://www.riverspace.org ) which was a movie theater back in the 70's and 80's, then home to the Helen Hayes Theatre Company until 2005. A group of enterprising individuals sought to save the theatre from development and to preserve a space in our downtown for the arts. It's hosted interviews with Lewis Black, Kathleen Turner, Alec Baldwin, and this weekend, Meryl Streep. Jonathan Demme screened his most recent film at Riverspace to a packed house, and last month we hosted singer/songwriter Dan Zanes. And now,… fresh from his european tour…Live from Nyack,… Jonathan Coulton. Anyway,.. I'm psyched.
There's a snack bar,… (no drink minimum to worry about) and the theatre holds seats for 535 people, so,….bring a friend. Downtown Nyack boasts a number of great stores & restaurants with food from Thai and Indian to a true French Patisserie and (a few) Irish pubs. It's accessible by car & bus (Rockland Coaches routes 9, 9A, 9T, and 9TA from Port Authority)(http://www.coachusa.com ) and if you drive a car, you can get here from the Palisades Interstate Parkway, 87 & 287. There's newly paved parking behind the theatre.
We do not have railroad access. 
On a lighter note, It's also my birthday party, so there'll be cake… honestly… what flavor do you like?
