I did indeed saying I was having trouble booking trains. However it’s still probably best that I get a train directly from London, since I arrive in London at something like 14:34 and have to get to the Manchester gig by 19:30, already I have fairly slim margins of getting-completely-lost time (well, quite a lot of getting-lost time, but not a lot of extra time on top of that to be unstressed after finding myself again), so unless you’re leaving Cambridge at just the right time it probably wouldn’t work out. I guess I will either:
Contact Virgin Trains to find out if there is some other way of booking a train
See if it’s possible to book a train while pretending I have an address in the UK, since it seems they leave the tickets at the station to be picked up
Pay full price for a ticket when I arrive
Incidentally, I bought a lab coat and some minidiscs today. I still have to contact the venues to find out whether I can make a soundboard recording.
