gonzo – I'm in Corpus Christi, Texas. The sparkling city by the sea.

I've been a podcast junkie for a couple of years now. I'd never looked into iTunes, because I thought everything there cost money. I have four kids (three actually, but we keep an extra around in case we have to kill one) so disposable money is hard to come by. I finally browsed around and found free podcasts! FREE stories!! LOTS OF FREE STORIES!!!

I was like a kid in a candy store. I work in a cubicle for eleven hours a day, so I loaded up my iPod. Been a podcast junkie ever since. I highly recommend checking them out. There's a little bit of everything out there.

Hey, is there anybody else out on the interweb who does anything similar to JoCo? I've listened to some of Paul and Storm's stuff, (very little) and I like them. They have a strangely random and entertaining podcast in which they talk about some stuff for five to ten minutes – on average. I've also listened to some of Norm Sherman from the Drabblecast podcast. Anybody else you know about?

Ziggy – the letters TAGC stand for the four chemicals that make up the "rungs" in the spiral "ladder" of our DNA. Thymine, Adenine, Guanine and Cytosine. Won't guarantee the spelling. They combine like a handshake, two per rung, and the different combinations make up the different characteristics. There was a movie a few years ago called Gattaca, about DNA profiling. Note all the letters in the title. I also remember a scene from Jurassic Park when the raptors broke into the control room, forcing the gang to take to the air ducts. The last part of that scene was a raptor bathed in the light of a computer monitor, scrolling endless sequences of GATCGATC…. Nice touch.
