Kevin Phillips, author of “American Theocracy,” (a book I’ve mentioned before) has a new book out called “Bad Money.” He was interviewed tonight on Bill Moyer’s and painted a rather bleak picture for U.S. economic future. (no surprise there) Anyone see it? Read this book?
Phillips was Nixon’s chief campaign strategist but has, over the past 2 decades, become increasingly disillusioned with the Republican Party. He made several predictions in his first book, “The Emerging Republican Majority” (1969) regarding political and economic trends – most of which have come true. I am rather taken with this guy – he has such a grasp of history, law, economics and can tie it all together for the reader (viewer).
