Have you seen the Flight of the Conchords episode about Racism? I just watched it last night, hilarious and I think it subtley hints at the emnity that exists between NZ and Aus. In an amicable way though. (If you haven’t seen it, an Indian fruit vendor is really rude and racist to Bret and Jermaine because they are kiwis but at the end it turns out he’s confused Kiwis and Aussies, after Jermaine gives him a big heartfelt speech about human rights and how we are all people. Then they all become friends and go and pull the fingers at the Australian Embassy together!)
Its a love-hate relationship, they are our nearest neighbours however there’s pretty much nothing more offensive to a Kiwi than being confused with an Australian. We have tshirts that say “I support two teams, The All Blacks and anyone playing against Australia”
While I don’t support the All Blacks, I do find that slogan very funny XD
Yes sorry for the confusion Francisco, I just meant to merrily refer to all of Europe in the same off-hand manner as the song Over There. As far as I know you are our first Spaniard here!
