Re. Joe Biden: I would like to offer something other than a 21-year-old quote and a 32 second sound bite generated by McCain’s campaign. Here are some facts:
Born in Scranton, PA (working class family)
65 years old
Roman Catholic but favors abortion rights
Lost wife and daughter in an accident at age 29
Been in the senate since age 29
Chairman of Senate Foreign Relations Committee
Former Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee
Last week, he received personal invitation from Georgian President Saakashvili to visit during tensions (advise?)
Commutes from Del. to D.C. by train every day
Teaches Constitutional Law on Saturdays
Does it really surprise anyone that he said what he did about Obama in the primaries?
