Well I can always send out the SpangSignal™ and ask for help on the multiple value thing. If anyone can get around it, its him.
But I was envisioning two boxes (regular and rare) which just had:

Usual Performance Stats
Instrument(s): i.e. Guitar/Zendrum/Tenori-on
Backing Vocals: i.e. None/P&S

Rare Performance Stats
Guest1:
Guest2:
Guest3:
Instrument1:
Instrument2:
Instrument3:

And the value in the Rare Performance fields could be a link to the show where that performance happened.

i.e.

Guest1: (link to the show)Kristen(/link)
Instrument1: (ink to show)Ukelele{/link)
Instrument2: (link to show2)Trashcan Drum(/link)

If users didn’t fill it out completely correctly thats ok as more experienced users could come along and clean it up, and if there are repeat offenders, we could gently point it out to them on their talk page?
