Watching Soylent Green is not about the answer; it’s about the path taken to get there. People have known the secret for decades. But you’re watching the oddly 70s future of Charlton Heston, the pathos of the environment, the final performance of Edward G Robinson when only Chuck knew he was dying. It’s an event, and I highly recommend a viewing just for completion purposes. It’s part kitsch, part glory. See it.
