I’ve always wondered how people can have that damn much music!
I think I’ve rambled so I put the important bits in bold. 37.28GB of music, 9.29GB (457 tracks) of which is losslessly encoded so takes up much more space. Much of it was free, from concert recordings (of bands I’m slightly obsessed with) or people like JoCo (I admit, I am not terribly picky, I download free stuff and might delete it much later if I don’t like it, or pay for it if I do) and 10.26GB of which is in my ‘Silly Songs’ playlist (in other words, it is funny, or from an artist or music podcast that is usually funny and I haven’t sorted it out yet.) Then about 3GB of comedy radio shows, audiobooks, etc, and currently 6.46GB of podcasts. Before I moved my music library to an external hard drive recently, I had to periodically archive a GB or two of old podcasts I’d listened to to another hard drive to make space on my internal hard drive. I am subscribed to a lot of podcasts, and I listen to them in a random order whenever I’m doing something which does not require much of my attention but does require my eyes or hands (if my eyes and hands are free as well, then I read.) Right now I’m not listening to them as fast as they come in, so I have a backlog of 3.71GB of podcasts I haven’t listened to yet. Incidentally, I also have 637MB of music I haven’t listened to yet, largely due to somebody from this forum (I can’t remember who at the moment)’s recommendation of Glenn Case, and various bands I discovered through that, but also because I randomly bought some actual CDs the other day when I went into a fnac to drool on their iPhones and MacBooks, and I also bought that Tom Smith fundraising album.
By the way, I have 898MB of JoCo alone, and that is without any lossless stuff, because I haven’t got around to ripping my TAW boxset yet, so I’m still listening to the podcast mp3s.
