By the time a 40GB iPhone comes out, I’ll need a 200GB one. 🙂 And when I do get a new iPod, hopefully it will have enough room that I can go back to putting my photos on it (in full resolution) too. The thing is, my camera (a Canon G9) is really good at being a camera, better than any phone is. My iPod is a really good iPod (top of the line when it came out about three years ago, and still only two thirds full of music) for someone who has a lot of stuff on it and listens to podcasts while walking along. My phone… well, it does what it’s supposed to, but I don’t really care about it. So perhaps I’d be more receptive if the iPhone were called iCamera or iPod Touch or… oh, I guess not. I’m not saying the iPhone isn’t awesome, or that it wouldn’t be cool to have a single multi-purpose device to accidentally put through the wash, but I’d need a super duper mega iPhone to sufficiently replace my bucketful of things (which is, in fact, two or three things in my bag, one attached at the hip, and you’re not really including my Mac in that, are you?)

Has ‘communicate, create, connect, explore’ been used as an advertising slogan yet? It should be.
