I didn’t know what to expect either, and didn’t expect to like it particularly, but it ended up meeting all my criteria for a good JoCo song — short, compact, witty, at least three characters, a good bit of whimsy or surreal detail, and a sense, by the end, that you could understand the inner experience of all the major characters.
