I hope it is ok to post the lyrics to Just One Person- it will help you see what I am talking about in the end.

If just one person believes in you,
Deep enough, and strong enough, believes in you…
Hard enough, and long enough,
It stands to reason, that someone else will think
“If he can do it, I can do it.”

Making it: two whole people, who believe in you
Deep enough, and strong enough,
Believe in you.
Hard enough and long enough
There’s bound to be some other person who
Believes in making it a threesome,
Making it three…..
People you can say: believe in me…..

And if three whole people,
Why not — four?
And if four whole people,
Why not–more, and
more, and
more….

And when all those people,
Believe in you,
Deep enough, and strong enough,
Believe in you…
Hard enough, and long enough

It stands to reason that you yourself will
Start to see what everybody sees in
You…

And maybe even you,
Can believe in you… too!

I can easily see this being done with P&S and a third person (or more) on stage; when the line “Two whole people” begins Paul could join, singing in harmony and continuing until “three whole people”, when Storm joins also in harmony. Ditto for four, and more and more…depending on how many are up there (or the audience could join in if there are enough who know it). It is a sweet, uplifting, hope-filled song. It originally came from Snoopy:the Musical, but I will always think of it as a Muppet song since that is where I first heard it. It was also done at Jim Henson’s funeral and at the Muppet tribute to Jim on tv as the end piece. Does tend to make me get all sniffly though.
