You make up a name, add @dodgit.com as you sign up somewhere. Later you can go to dodgit.com enter the name you made up. That site’s confirmation / activation email will be there. No connection to you in any way. Also, any related spam that may come from that site doesn’t fill your real inbox.
Don’t use it for personal stuff or anything needing security.
